won’t you ride in my sleigh tonight!

won’t you ride in my sleigh tonight!

When I saw this Christmas reindeer and sleigh on the internet, I knew I had to recreate the look!

I’m sorry, but I do not have the source for this cutie!  I’m thinking pottery barn?

Even though We don’t have snow in Florida,  I knew it would still look amazing in my front yard.

I already had  the wicker reindeer and  sleigh.  I love just love everything about it.  The simplicity of the plaid throw and snowflake pillow in the sleigh just SCREAMS my name!

Actually the plaid throw is not a throw,  I improvised with a plaid tablecloth

I’m thinking I need to find me a larger sleigh for next year!  Maybe even throw some Epsom salt and Flour on the ground to give the snow effects!

So what do you think, won’t to ride in my sleigh tonight?

How do you decorate your outdoor space for Christmas?

Pottery Barn recreation

I was looking through Pottery Barn on line the other day, and this Fall decorated candle holder caught my eye!

I thought “oh how cute, and how easy to recreate!”

So I got my stuff out and tada!  I came up with my recreated version.

I had acorns so I used them instead to layer the bottom.

What you will need:

Candle

tall glass container

acorns

small pinecones

berry twigs

I added some more berry twigs, pine cones and a small pumpkin on a wooden cutting board to add a little more texture and color.

Then I got to thinking that it would be cuter to use with an appetizer tray.

How cute is that with a cheese tray!

I’m asking myself why I didn’t layer the candle holder and cutting board in a wooden tray?

Oh well, it’s too late now, the cheese is all gone!

What have you recreated lately?

I Heart Chevron!

I Heart Chevron!

Do you like decorating your home with the latest trend?  I sure do!   One of the current ones that I’m trending right now is the Chevron print!   Chevron has been around a while, but looks like it may still be in a bit longer, so it’s not too late to bring it into your home. Lucky me!!

Here are some great ideas I like that can add chevron into your home!

These are curtains that were painted.  This would be an inexpensive, diy project!  And look how great they look.  How creative is that!

This chair is bound to liven up your room!  I love the vivid colors in this chair.  Sometimes bold is just what a room needs.

Adding a colorful table runner is another excellent idea.   And I am loving yellow right now!

Walmart has the cutest chevron curtains!  How cute would this be in a tween girl bedroom?  I’m thinking used with a “surfin” theme, or with lime green walls ,this would look awesome!

You can always use it in your throw pillows too.

Of course these shower curtains are a must have!  Not only are they chevron, but they are monogrammed too!  OMGoodness-LOVE them!!  Who cares if they are a little pricey, sometimes a splurge it is worth it!

And of course you can always throw a rug down to make a statement.

You can even add Chevron to a nursery.  I love the gray and yellow color combo for a nursery.

Are you a fan of chevron?  If so, how did you use it in your home?  I used chevron throw pillows  in my family room.  I am still looking to use it in my living room, dining room, or small television room that still needs to be completed.  I’m thinking the painted dresser will look great in my small sitting room!
