So one night my husband came home from work and had something for me. He was pretty excited when he said “here, I have something I think you will enjoy reading”, and he handed me a copy of a newspaper article from Good Housekeeping Monthly, published in 1955. I stopped what I was doing and took the article and began reading. I read the title and thought, “what in the world is this”!!! As I started reading the first paragraph, I couldn’t help but laugh out loud because my husband knows I am NOT a planner, have never planned a meal the night before and probably never will!! My family is lucky if we have anything out of the ordinary weekly menu that we seem to follow pretty rigidly!
Now I am not sure if this article really exists, not sure what context it was intended for, but I find it very humorous and definetly NOT a 21st Century Homemaker!! I can’t even imagine!! You can click on the article to make it a little larger, but you may want to grab your reading glasses if you are not already wearing them!! Hope you get a good chuckle!
Are you a “good wife” or a 21st Century wife?
