Hey, I’m Wanda, an experienced military homemaker. I’m currently re-creating and decorating our 7th home and attempting to re-invent my role as a stay at home mom of 2 girls, a tween and teen.
While my girls are at school, I’m just a Coke Zero drinking, Starbucks sipping, flip flop wearing, home decor enthusiast, and 21st century homemaker excited to share my experiences of this nomadic military lifestyle.
I enjoy sharing ideas that will inspire you to make any house a home and decorate your home, high end style, but on your budget. I have learned how to decorate a practical, yet stylish home that fits the needs of the transitional military lifestyle. And I believe you can too!
My husband and I are big home improvement DIYers, dreaming of the day that our Army career will allow us to buy a long term, forever home, move out of cramped military housing, and stop paying a landlord’s mortgage. We have recently bought a home and are currently updating and making it our 7th home.
I am a 21st century homemaker. As a personal assistant and chauffeur to a tween and teen, I am busy with everyday life and always look for ways to work smart not hard. As a mom, my main priority is to raise resilient and grounded military children.
Recreate and Decorate is an inspiring blog that shares ideas for making any house a home even if it is for a short amount of time and far from being your dream home, while focusing on budget friendly decorating ideas. Recreate and Decorate also shares life as an Army wife and allows me to share tips for raising well rounded military children.
Please grab a Coke Zero and join me as I blog about recreating, decorating, and a little bit of homemaking with our 7th home!
Because Home is always where the Army sends us.
