Happy New Year!
I’m ready to start this year off trying to organize my home. I shared with you how I lack organizational skills, so this year I am going to declutter once and for all, and I need your help to keep me on task, motivated, and to share your most valued tips that you use to help you organize! We all do better at achieving our goals when we have a buddy, so I am looking for organizational buddies!
Who’s in?
I know many of us have lived in a small home before, If you are a master at declutter, please pass your tips on so I can share! I have many friends who are struggling with me and we need all the ideas and support we can get to maintain our clutter!
Oh and to all of you Organizational Queens, please don’t judge me! HA!
I have decided to start with my kitchen pantry being the first in line to organize. My kitchen is one of the most busiest rooms in my home. Therefore is collects the most junk. My counter tops are forever filled with clutter, and I can’t take it anymore! We moved into this home in September 2011 and I am ashamed to say that I have a mess in here!
Now that David has been back from Afghanistan a little more than a month, we are back to our home improvement projects! We have been working on the kitchen, but you will have to wait on those updates until another day! :-) So with all of the progress and focus on my kitchen, I need to begin with my kitchen pantry first.
Amber lane living shows off her pantry, and I just have to say, GAME ON! LOL just kidding! She is the best to organize a pantry. She actually wallpapered her pantry! NICE! What a great way to make a stylish and decorative pantry, but just not too sure I will go through that much trouble for my pantry! We will just have to wait and see on that one!
However I do think it is a top notch pantry and I love how the labeled canisters are used as an extra touch to your home decor! What a great decorative way to store your flour and sugar.
Here is a pantry with glass containers too! I think I’m in love!
i heart organizing uses an over the door pantry organizer that is perfect for canned goods!
Here is her painted pantry. Check out the matching green plastic storage bins that she uses to organize. Everything is so neat and pretty!
I even love the grocery list hanging on a 3M hook. Very clever!
realsimple.com uses a clear, over the door organizer, great for smaller items including season packets and jello boxes.
If you don’t have a pantry door, maybe you have just a bi-fold door, make bake celebrate shows how she used little sink caddies stuck on with Velcro circles to store and organize smaller packages.
Now that is a genius idea since my girls love leaving empty boxes in the cupboard! Constantly tricking me into believing we have plenty of granola bars!
jenny collier photography.com shows off a pretty kitchen pantry too! This pantry is sporting a great organize look.
I put a shout out on facebook asking for your pretty pantries, here is an awesome one sent to me by my cousin.
Now she looks to be the queen to organize too. I am envious of the size of her pantry! I have had a small pantry in each home we’ve lived in. Even my pantry now is very small!
And a mess!
and empty
So I went to Dollar Tree yesterday and bought up a few things to get me started. I was able to even color match my new stuff with the colors of my kitchen!
Uh-huh!
my kitchen pantry’s gonna look pretty!!
I was amazed at how much organizing containers they had! and pretty colorful ones too!
I really need to get busy and try to get this kitchen organized.

How beautiful, I love organized pantries! I have a fairly large pantry, but large or small I manage on filling every inch of it up. I need to declutter the cupboards so I can fit everything. Thanks for the great ideas!
Hi Tanya, cupboards are my next project! Mine are a mess especially the Tupperware cabinet!! Thank you for the visit!
This makes me want to go to Dollar Tree and get some of those containers. We bought a log home 4 years ago and we still aren’t all the way organized. We worked on getting wood floors, painting etc. the basic things first. We have 2 kitchens but neither has the proper amount of counter space or storage area. Our solution. We mainly do our cooking in the kitchen downstairs. There is a small room right beside the kitchen we normally use as a storage room. Hubby moved all his “treasures” aka junk to the garage and is going to build me shelves along those walls. I will have room for all my stuff like crockpots, food processors as well as can foods and boxed items. Loved this post! It is inspiring me to really get this project going! I look forward to the next post! Tabby (from SITS & facebook & shoppingwives )
YAY for you to have that space all to your self! I’m jealous!!
I think you may be surprised at all the organizing stuff that Dollar tree has right now! Good luck and glad to have inspired you! That makes my day!
I love all the pantry ideas you have shared! They are so creative!
